Peel Common Resident Association Aims
The PCRA
The Peel Common Residents Association was born out of necessity in September 2005 when, the then landlord Company, Persimmon Homes Ltd. decided to sell the freehold title of the entire estate to a little known property company called Freehold Estates Ltd. and its sister company Leasehold Property Management Ltd.
The PCRA was formed into a limited company in order to gain the advantages and protection needed to promote a professional organisation.
The PCRA constitution
The PCRAs constitution was designed to cover the unique requirements that allowed the association to fulfil a useful needful and purposeful role in the guardianship of the original concept to the design of the Peel Common Estate. This constitution has been built around fundamental objectives, membership and resident association management.
Objectives
- To ensure that the management of the estate and maintenance of its infrastructure is held to the highest standard that was designed into the original concept of the estate.
- To ensure that the custodians and owners of the Peel Common Estate efficiently use the service charges imposed on the residents.
- To ensure that all residents on the Peel Common estate benefit from holding membership.
Membership
- The membership will be open to all resident owners of the Peel Common Estate and membership will not discriminate on politics, nationality religious opinion, race or colour. The Peel Common estate is encompassed by the area designed as a leasehold estate built by the original owners, Metropolitan Railway Company.
Management
The Peel Common Residents Association will be managed under the current Company House guidelines and consist of an executive committee and general committee members.
- The association will hold committee meetings every fourth month (3 per year) plus an annual general meeting currently planned for the month of July. At each AGM election or reselection of officers on the committee will take place.
